Important Tips when Choosing a Package
Important questions that you need to ASK when inquiring about travel insurance:
- What stability periods do I need for each medical condition?
- If I have a medication change, increase or decrease, how will it affect my insurance?
- Does my existing insurance policy allow top-ups? Ie: credit cards, retirement benefits.
- What are the cancellation, extension and refund policies?
- If I do not qualify for the regular plans, are there other options?
- Does my Provincial Health care cover me while traveling in Canada?
Several Types of Plans to Choose From
Top Ups: When you have an existing plan and want to travel longer, we can top up your plan.
Extensions: If you have decided that you want to stay away longer while already out of your home province, we can extend your policy.
Multi-Trips: If you are going to be traveling more than once in the upcoming year, you can purchase a multi trip plan – pay once and travel all year long!
Inter-Provincial Plans: When traveling within Canada, your Provincial Health Care does NOT cover everything. We have a low cost plan that will supplement your health care plan.
Tips After Purchasing
READ YOUR POLICY
Things that will affect your coverage after purchase are:
- Changes in medication (increase or decrease)
- Any change in your initial travel plans will require adjustments to your policy – please call to inquire (departure or return times)
- If extending your holiday, remember to call at least one week prior to expiry date.
